Ken Jones is a Procurement Specialist with over 30 years of experience in the public and non-profit procurement sector. Starting with the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance Purchasing Office as a supervisor, he received a promotion to the University at Albany SUNY where he purchased a wide variety of supplies and services for the departments on campus. Ken implemented several online ordering vendor sites for various requirements including pharmaceuticals, scientific, office and Maintenance supplies. He also was responsible for bids, RFP’s and Contracts including contracts for construction and construction related services. After retiring as Assistant Director Emeritus he continued to work part time for the Research Foundation of SUNY at the Center for International Development and their AHADI program in Kenya, Africa reviewing procurements and providing procurement training. Currently Ken works part time with the University at Albany, SUNY providing training to procurement staff. Ken has been providing webinars on procurement topics for over 15 years.
